5th Grade The 5th graders have been studying Early Native Americans in the United States. They learned how they used the local resources of each region to live. Students were given an opportunity to build models of homes that early Native Americans used. Large Houses were made of boards cut from cedar trees and used in the Pacific Northwest. Teepees were used in the Western Great Plains and made of buffalo skins and wooden poles. Longhouses were made of bark and wooden poles and used in the Northeastern Woodlands. Great job 5th grade! |
